Sad News on the LADY B

Sorry to report that we recently received some discouraging news...

For the past three years, the Advocates have been diligently working with the City of West Linn to accept Wilsonville Concrete's generous donation of the tug LADY B and bring her back to Bernert’s Landing.

Unfortunately, as we neared the final steps of this process, the tug was hit with vandalism. While the boat was only tagged in this incident, Wilsonville Concrete will have to move all of their equipment to another location which results in the LADY B no longer being available for preservation.

We certainly appreciate the city's willingness to participate in this project and regret that this situation has occurred after the three parties worked so hard and long to make it happen. The Advocates will pursue another way of memorializing the history of Willamette River tugs.
